The Trumpet Will Sound
1 Cor. 15:51-52
Introduction:
A. Hope is what keeps most people going. They hope for a better life,
a better job, more popularity, etc. Most will not realize their hopes
and dreams in this life.
B But the ultimate hope of the Christian is the Lord's return. The
New Testament is filled with words of anticipation of Jesus Second
Coming and thus, the end of this world (Rev 22:20; Phil 3:20; Heb 9:28;
Tit 2:13).
C. Skeptics have always doubted the validity of the Lord's return.
Yet, Peter spoke of this in his second letter (2 Pet 3:3-10). The Lord's
return will come when most are unprepared and unsuspecting (Matt.
24:48-51). And when the trumpet sounds:
I. Time Will End. Rev. 10:5-6
A. Some believe and teach that Jesus will begin to rule over His
kingdom when He returns.
B. Christ's reign will end when time ends 1 Cor. 15:24-28.
C. It will be in the "last day" Jn. 6:39-40, 44, 54.
II. The Resurrection Of The Dead.
A. The text declares this fact 1 Cor. 15:51-52
B. There is only ONE resurrection.

A Universal Judgment
